We're hiring our next engineering unicorn. Not the mythical “knows every framework ever created” kind — a Laravel developer who genuinely understands the ecosystem, knows what happens beyond the controller, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty when things get complicated. You'll build and expand our gaming, network, marketing and CRM platforms: interconnected systems with real users, real transactions, high-frequency queues and real-time events. In other words: this isn't a CRUD factory. And the stronger the unicorn, the better the package.
Laravel sits at the heart of what we build — the interesting part is everything happening around it: Redis, high-volume queues, workers, event-driven workflows, WebSockets and multiple interconnected applications running on Laravel Cloud, DigitalOcean and AWS.
The role is backend-first, but we work heavily with the TALL stack — Tailwind, Alpine, Laravel and Livewire — so range across the stack is a real advantage. You won't be isolated inside a controller and a Blade template: you'll follow the full journey from request to database, queue, Redis, worker, WebSocket, external service and production monitoring. We automate the repetitive — GitHub Actions, CodeRabbit, SonarQube, PHPStan, Sentry — and AI is already part of how we work here, not a strategy deck gathering dust. We want engineers who use it to move faster and dig deeper, not to replace their thinking.
What you'll own
- Build and maintain Laravel features across several interconnected applications — CRM, gaming, network and marketing
- Design and maintain APIs used by our own applications and external systems
- Work with complex business logic spanning models, services, jobs, events and integrations
- Build real-time functionality on high-frequency queues, Redis, events and WebSockets
- Investigate production issues wherever they hide — the code, Redis, a worker, or five million jobs deciding today is their day
- Understand the existing architecture before changing it, and think about how your changes behave when traffic increases
- Work in two-week sprints through automated checks, AI-assisted review, colleague review and QA
What you bring
- Strong professional experience with Laravel and modern PHP
- Excellent understanding of Eloquent, relational databases and SQL
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and complex backend systems
- Strong understanding of queues, jobs, events, caching and Redis
- Experience with asynchronous, event-driven application architecture
- Ability to investigate unfamiliar code and reason about existing behaviour before changing it
- Good understanding of application performance and scalability
- Clear communication, strong ownership and comfort in an iterative review and QA process
- TALL stack experience (Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS) is a major advantage
Remuneration
Great engineers get paid like great engineers.
We don't believe in forcing every developer into the same salary bracket regardless of what they bring to the table. Remuneration is aligned with your actual level, your experience and your technical impact.
Bring deep Laravel knowledge, strong architectural thinking, production experience and the ability to solve the problems others avoid — we're prepared to recognise exactly that. This is a seat we trust with important systems, and compensation reflects that level of trust and responsibility.
