Lead Automation QA Engineer (Calypso) in USA

Responsibilities

  • Define, maintain, and execute the master test strategy, test plans, quality gates, schedules, scope, objectives, dependencies, and entry and exit criteria.
  • Design, build, optimize, and execute automated test frameworks and reusable suites using Calypso Automated Testing Tool, Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
  • Lead system integration, regression, performance, security, position-conversion, and User Acceptance Testing activities across Calypso workflows.
  • Validate trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging, accounting postings, and complex financial data.
  • Coordinate test environments, configurations, availability, maintenance, test-data planning, provisioning, validation, and refresh activities.
  • Manage test cases, defects, triage, prioritization, escalation, resolution tracking, and test execution through Jira and Xray.
  • Oversee load, stress, batch, and performance testing and coordinate security testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability, complete test coverage, execution metrics, readiness assessments, quality reporting, test summaries, and final sign-offs.
  • Communicate testing risks, dependencies, blockers, and recommendations to project leadership and coordinate with technical teams, functional leads, and business testers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading QA and testing for complex Calypso implementations and large financial-services transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Calypso front-to-back workflows, including trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging, and accounting postings.
  • Hands-on experience with the Calypso Automated Testing Tool, Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber.
  • Experience integrating automated test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines and leading system integration, regression, and UAT support.
  • Strong knowledge of test-environment coordination, test-data management, position conversions, and complex financial data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing.
  • Knowledge of security-testing practices and OWASP vulnerability-assessment principles.
  • Advanced experience with Jira and Xray for test and defect management.
  • Experience producing test metrics, traceability reports, evidence packages, and release-readiness assessments.
  • Strong defect-management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, leadership, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
