Responsibilities

  • Own security tooling service performance, resilience, stability, supportability, and SLA delivery across regions.
  • Configure, administer, operate, upgrade, and improve Cribl and Microsoft Sentinel platforms at enterprise scale.
  • Engineer Cribl telemetry routing, parsing, transformation, enrichment, filtering, masking, decoding, and performance tuning pipelines.
  • Manage Microsoft Sentinel connectors, telemetry onboarding, SIEM configuration, KQL queries, analytics, dashboards or workbooks, automation, retention, access controls, and platform health.
  • Build and sustain integrations across SIEM, endpoint, identity, cloud, network, storage, and ITSM technologies.
  • Enable monitoring, detection, analytics rules, alerts, dashboards, and operational security use cases.
  • Lead incident, problem, change, release, service review, governance, risk, compliance, onboarding, migration, upgrade, and modernization activities.
  • Define service models, tooling standards, operating procedures, security controls, and improvement plans.
  • Guide internal teams, suppliers, and service partners while mentoring engineers and analysts.
  • Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning for security automation, anomaly detection, enrichment, investigation, and workflow optimization.

Requirements

  • Typically 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity technologies and processes, including substantial hands-on enterprise security tooling engineering and platform administration.
  • Strong experience operating platforms for monitoring, telemetry management, investigation, detection, response, and protection.
  • Strong hands-on Cribl experience with routing, stream or pipeline management, parsing, transformation, enrichment, filtering, masking, troubleshooting, tuning, and administration.
  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Sentinel experience with connectors, onboarding, SIEM configuration, KQL, analytics, dashboards or workbooks, automation, retention, access controls, and operational support.
  • Experience with platform configuration, upgrades, issue resolution, telemetry onboarding, connector or agent management, service reliability, and operational optimization at scale.
  • Experience across multiple security technologies, ideally including SIEM, telemetry pipelines, endpoint security, cloud security, identity, and network security.
  • Experience developing and optimizing cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, standards, and operating models.
  • Experience with security risk assessment, telemetry analysis, threat actors, attack vectors, and detection and response support.
  • Experience in regulated and compliance-aware environments involving governance controls, audits, policies, standards, and security data handling.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and managing third-party suppliers, vendors, and service partners in complex global environments.
  • Ability to communicate, influence, prioritize, lead through change, and operate across hybrid, cloud-native, and vendor-based security ecosystems.
  • Expert-level security tooling knowledge and strong problem-solving capability.
  • Comfort applying, evaluating, or supporting AI and machine learning concepts in security tooling use cases.
  • Experience using scripting and automation technologies such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information security, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Desirable qualifications include Microsoft Defender for Endpoint experience, wider Microsoft security ecosystem knowledge, SIEM migration or telemetry modernization experience, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOX or GxP knowledge, and relevant security or platform certifications.
