Lead DevOps Platforms Engineer in UK new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms across Azure and AWS.
  • Lead DevOps strategy, platform modernisation, and best-practice adoption across infrastructure, automation, security, and observability.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes platforms, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
  • Design monitoring, logging, observability, high-availability, and disaster-recovery solutions.
  • Build developer platforms and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
  • Implement DevSecOps principles and security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across enterprise cloud environments.
  • Support multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures, FinOps, and cloud cost optimisation.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud-native platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and identity and access management.
  • Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, platform operations, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and ELK/EFK observability solutions.
  • Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, multi-cloud, and hybrid-cloud architectures.
  • Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Right to work in the UK, ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance, and willingness to travel within the UK.
  • Desirable qualifications include Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), and HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
