Responsibilities

Own the security roadmap for Trimble’s core GNSS receivers.
Design and implement secure workflows, security frameworks, and networking protocols for embedded receivers.
Serve as the primary technical authority on cybersecurity issues, identifying weaknesses and coordinating vulnerability resolution.
Define software architectures deployable across multiple operating systems.
Specify and implement hardware-rooted protections including TPMs, secure boot, firmware signing, and dm-verity.
Collaborate with engineering, Trimble Cloud, Product Marketing, and international R&D teams to translate security requirements into product features.
Ensure secure communication across the product ecosystem and support next-generation product development.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise designing secure workflows and implementing defensive security measures in embedded environments.
Practical experience with hardware security primitives, TPMs, secure boot, firmware signing, and dm-verity.
Deep understanding of networking and communication protocols.
Significant experience with C/C++ and Real-Time Operating Systems, including mutexes, semaphores, and task priorities.
Solid knowledge of Embedded Linux and Linux distributions.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with GNSS or high-precision positioning technology is advantageous.
Knowledge of cloud-to-device secure integration, legacy-system modernization, regulatory and industry compliance frameworks, software supply chain security, SBOM, and SCA is advantageous.
Familiarity with IEC 62443-4-2, the EU Cyber Resilience Act, and resource-constrained embedded hardware optimization is advantageous.
