Responsibilities

Lead research and analysis of multiparty computation, quantum-safe cryptography, and zero-knowledge proof protocols.
Architect and implement cryptographic solutions for privacy and confidentiality in financial, non-financial, and blockchain-based applications.
Collaborate with cryptographers, product, engineering, and compliance teams to integrate cryptography into financial products and services.
Evaluate and enhance cryptographic protocols for security, industry-standard compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Assess cryptographic libraries and crypto-agile approaches and help define and implement JPMorgan Chase solutions.
Assess the performance impact of post-quantum cryptography deployments.
Represent the organization in academic and industry forums and communicate ongoing work to other teams.
Mentor junior cryptographers and engineers in advanced cryptographic concepts and best practices.

Requirements

PhD or MS in Cryptography, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field, with a dissertation or significant research in multiparty computation, quantum-safe cryptography, or zero-knowledge proofs.
At least 5 years of post-PhD/MS experience applying advanced cryptographic techniques, preferably in banking, payments, digital assets, or related financial domains.
Software development experience and strong industry experience securing complex IT infrastructure, customer-facing services, and sensitive data.
Proficiency in cryptographic protocol design, analysis, and implementation.
Experience with cryptographic libraries and tools such as MP-SPDZ, FRESCO, SEAL, HElib, libsnark, Zokrates, or Circom.
Proficiency applying cryptography to network security protocols such as TLS and IPsec.
Familiarity with privacy-technology regulatory and compliance considerations in the financial sector.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
