Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software solutions.
Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, CQRS patterns, and real-time data streaming.
Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and backend teams to deliver intuitive interfaces and scalable, reusable APIs.
Automate recurring issue remediation and improve application and system operational stability.
Lead vendor, startup, and internal technical evaluation sessions focused on architecture and technology applicability.
Lead Software Engineering communities of practice and promote new technologies and reusable engineering patterns.
Establish team standards for responsible, secure, and validated use of AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and refactoring tools.
Apply software development lifecycle automation capabilities to improve delivery outcomes.

Requirements

A formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience developing user interfaces, including hands-on React experience.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, software development lifecycles, and cloud-native engineering practices.
Experience with automated testing in a commercial setting, such as React Testing Library or Cypress.
Experience collaborating with backend teams to design scalable and reusable RESTful APIs.
Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
Preferred experience with ag-grid, Highcharts, Redux, TypeScript, complex UI performance tuning, Investment Bank or Finance Technology, team management, DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud autoscaling infrastructure.
