Responsibilities

Build sensor components end to end from research and design through implementation, rollout, and production monitoring.
Develop and maintain OS-level monitoring using Linux eBPF programs, Windows kernel drivers, and macOS system extensions and Endpoint Security.
Contribute to technical and architectural decisions for a codebase shared across operating systems and architectures.
Perform design and code reviews.
Improve CPU usage, memory usage, and stability of components running on every customer host.
Investigate production issues across a large fleet, including kernel-version quirks, crash dumps, and telemetry.
Collaborate with Detection Research, Backend, DevOps, and Product teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Deep knowledge of the internals of at least one major operating system—Linux, Windows, or macOS—including processes, threads, memory management, file systems, networking, and syscall or kernel interfaces.
Strong debugging skills with low-level tools such as gdb/lldb, WinDbg, perf, strace, and crash dumps.
At least 4 years of experience in systems or low-level software development.
Strong engineering fundamentals in concurrency, performance, and defensive coding.
Preferred experience with Rust, Linux development, eBPF, kernel development, cgroups/namespaces, containers, Windows kernel drivers, macOS system development, security products, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, Azure, and software deployed to customer-managed infrastructure at scale.
