Responsibilities

  • Frame and contextualize machine learning problems and design solutions for business use cases.
  • Research, prototype, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms, models, and systems.
  • Analyze data and select appropriate datasets for modeling and testing.
  • Design, execute, and monitor model experiments, metrics, and statistical analyses of business impact.
  • Automate, architect, and orchestrate machine learning processes and pipelines.
  • Monitor, optimize, and maintain machine learning solutions in production.
  • Enrich machine learning libraries and model development frameworks.
  • Develop internal tools and libraries for model governance across the machine learning lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with MLOps Engineers and Data Scientists on system designs and architectures.
  • Enforce test-driven development and engineering best practices for machine learning systems.

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical, statistical, or actuarial background.
  • Good programming knowledge and software engineering skills.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Proficiency with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot using established and novel approaches.
  • Experience building machine learning systems and workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MLOps tools such as DVC, MLflow, Metaflow, Seldon, and BentoML is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills.
