Responsibilities

  • Build machine learning systems for AI-powered roleplay coaching.
  • Create models that interpret learner conversations and score performance.
  • Generate helpful feedback in real time.
  • Determine how the AI avatar should respond based on learner behavior.
  • Work as a product-focused software developer across different products.
  • Apply machine learning knowledge to solve real product and commercial problems.

Requirements

  • At least seven years of software engineering experience, including at least two years at senior level.
  • Experience working in a high-performing engineering team at scale, in a scale-up or established organization with a strong engineering culture.
  • Ability to apply machine learning knowledge to real product problems.
  • Strong alignment with commercial success.
  • Pragmatism, bias toward action, and comfort with fast iteration.

Benefits

  • Base salary starts at EUR/GBP/CHF 120,000 plus RSUs.
  • Full-time employment only; contractors are not accepted, with employment through Synthesia entities or OysterHR.
  • Preferred in-office or remote locations are the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland, with possible remote work elsewhere in Europe subject to compliance and right-to-work checks.
  • 25 days of leave plus local holidays.
  • Hiring process can be completed in approximately two weeks.
  • AI-assisted coding is welcome during the work-scenario interview.
