Responsibilities

  • Develop a distributed, resilient, and highly performant network security product for enterprise deployments.
  • Create functional specifications, design documents, test plans, production code, and thorough testing.
  • Own and deliver projects end-to-end with a geographically distributed team and minimal supervision.
  • Develop new features and improve system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical talks, boot camps, community events, hiring, and technical coaching.
  • Identify technical risks and drive pragmatic solutions balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.
  • Lead technical execution across multiple engineering teams on large cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with product management, customer support, and platform teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • BE, BTech, ME, MTech, or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • 9+ years of software development experience focused on distributed systems architecture.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes environments.
  • Advanced programming proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
  • Professional experience developing networking or security products and familiarity with TCP/IP, VLAN, IP, ICMP, and DNS.
  • Strong fundamentals in operating systems, multithreaded and multiprocess applications, IPC, and RPC.
  • Hands-on experience with web technologies and protocols including RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure or distributed systems projects.
  • Strong written, spoken, technical, and interpersonal communication skills.
