Responsibilities

Own user-facing product surfaces end to end across interaction design, frontend, application logic, APIs, data models, and search or model calls.
Ship continuously to production, with new engineers typically delivering code to users in their first week.
Use AI agents and coding models as primary development tools while evaluating their output critically.
Prototype ambiguous product ideas and use real usage data and evaluations to guide iteration.
Improve reliability, latency, and implementation quality for owned product surfaces.
Collaborate directly with designers, product managers, and research engineers.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience or a strong internship record shipping production code at scale.
Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Go, with experience across services, APIs, and relational data modeling.
Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
Demonstrated ability to build and ship software through production work, user-facing side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, or research software.
Comfort working through ambiguity and building incrementally.
Hands-on experience with AI products and an understanding of their product limitations and opportunities.

Salary: $180k - $270k/yr
