Responsibilities

Architect, design, implement, and test C++ middleware running on Figure’s robots.
Provide system-wide middleware functionality for specialized controls and autonomy software.
Develop Python tooling and interfaces.
Help maintain a stable, scalable, and well-tested software ecosystem in CI.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience writing production C++.
Mastery of C++, Python, and Linux.
Understanding of how to create testable software systems and knowledge of computer architecture.
Understanding of Linux userspace and kernel environments.
Proficiency with networking protocols.
Comfort using debuggers and performance profiling tooling.
Bonus: experience with timing-constrained systems, resource-constrained environments such as microcontrollers, and communication buses or protocols including EtherCAT, Serial, CAN, or USB.
