Responsibilities

Own the health, uptime, and successful operation of deployed imaging systems.
Develop and maintain reliable, observable, modular software services for edge-compute devices.
Triage and resolve issues across software, firmware, networking, and hardware boundaries.
Support field operators and non-technical users in diagnosing deployed hardware issues.
Represent the team as a technical subject matter expert during remote and on-site integrations.
Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to build and test complex functionality.
Travel approximately 25% for field testing and customer integrations.

Requirements

At least 3 years of software development experience with meaningful production ownership.
Deep proficiency in C++, TypeScript with Node.js/React, or Python, plus the ability to work across a second language.
At least 3 years of experience working in Linux-based environments, including hands-on bare-metal hardware work.
Ability to ramp quickly into unfamiliar languages, tools, and deployment systems.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve issues across networking, services, and hardware interactions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications include experience with performance-sensitive, real-time, resource-constrained, edge, or embedded systems.
Preferred qualifications include experience with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks, systemd, Linux observability, Nix or NixOS, fielded systems, or imaging, EO/IR, ISR, or C2 systems.

Salary: $166k - $220k/yr
