Responsibilities

  • Define benchmarking requirements, metrics, and strategy for FlashArray products across diverse platforms.
  • Provide technical direction, leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to software and performance engineers.
  • Develop performance validation strategies for critical customer use cases in collaboration with Product Management, Solutions Engineering, and Sales Engineering.
  • Analyze Linux storage and networking performance bottlenecks and identify optimizations for throughput and latency.
  • Translate performance data into actionable engineering improvements and support high-quality product releases.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and executing system-level performance testing for enterprise-grade servers, storage, SAN protocols, and databases.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Linux systems, including network configuration, storage stacks, system settings, and command-line utilities used for performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers and provide architectural direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience converting performance analysis into engineering improvements.
