On-Device ML Compiler Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve ML compiler infrastructure focused on model compilation and runtime execution.
  • Use the MLIR-based compiler stack to target Apple’s Neural Engine, GPU, and CPU.
  • Collaborate with model authoring, runtime, and performance teams to maximize hardware utilization.
  • Support model optimization, transformation, execution, debugging, profiling, and analysis across Apple devices.
  • Write or improve kernels for machine learning model execution.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience working on MLIR-based compilers.
  • Familiarity with common machine learning model architectures, execution schemes, and operations.
  • Familiarity with C++.
  • Familiarity with PyTorch or related training frameworks.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Swift.
  • Preferred: familiarity with programming paradigms for GPU, CPU, and Neural Engine environments.
  • Preferred: familiarity with writing kernels for machine learning model execution.
