Responsibilities

Develop and deploy software solutions for customer missions and on-orbit spacecraft operations.
Architect orbital software systems and integrate them with the Anduril Lattice platform, legacy systems, payloads, spacecraft buses, and networking solutions.
Develop algorithms, techniques, and code supporting orbital systems and multi-domain interfaces.
Write code to improve products and scale mission capabilities for different users and customers.
Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
Create and analyze debugging and monitoring metrics, triage issues, identify root causes, and coordinate next steps.
Partner with end users to translate mission needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
Provide guidance and oversight to a team developing modular capabilities for Department of Defense and intelligence community customers.

Requirements

Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or physics.
Ability to understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements quickly.
Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight.
Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training materials.
Ideally 3+ years of professional experience working with programming languages such as Python, C++, Rust, or Go.
Experience with spacecraft software systems and spacecraft operations.
Experience with satellite mission autonomy, including fault isolation and recovery systems.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: advanced expertise with Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm deployment tooling.
Preferred: experience with OMS/UCI standards and modular software services development.
