Perception Intern, Fall 2026 in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop 2D image and 3D point cloud models for object and panoptic detection.
  • Create and iterate on heuristic and geometry-based algorithms for roadway features.
  • Assist with tuning machine learning models to improve performance and accuracy.
  • Help bring perception algorithms into real-time detection systems running on edge mapping hardware.
  • Work on geospatial machine learning projects involving urban and roadway infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Strong programming fundamentals in Python, including algorithmic problem-solving and clean code design.
  • Ability to implement and rapidly iterate on heuristic or geometry-based algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Jax.
  • Familiarity with computer vision tasks and machine learning concepts.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and independent-work abilities.
