Performance Engineer Intern - Summer 2027 in USA

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative research on large datasets to analyze exchange technology.
  • Design strategies to optimize liquidity taking and quoting strategies for exchange microstructure.
  • Develop AI agents, ETL pipelines, and algorithms in Python for ultra-low-latency trading optimization.
  • Reverse-engineer and stress-test network and systems programming technologies.
  • Collaborate with traders and hardware and software engineers to implement ideas.

Requirements

  • Be a current university student graduating between September 2027 and July 2028 while pursuing Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technology degree.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Have exceptional quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills and an interest in working across trading and engineering teams.
  • Interest in financial markets is required, but prior knowledge is not required.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, or network technology is a plus.
  • Be available to start the internship on June 7, 2027.

Benefits
