Responsibilities

  • Maintain and extend the Kubernetes platform.
  • Improve production platform performance and reliability.
  • Ensure observability across production systems.
  • Assist with database and service performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with Development Engineers on the operational impacts of new features.
  • Identify architecture bottlenecks and develop solutions with Engineering.
  • Handle on-call response for public-facing services.
  • Collaborate with Support on operational runbooks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of Kubernetes experience.
  • Experience operating Linux systems.
  • Mandatory GCP cloud experience; multi-cloud experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Terraform and container lifecycle management.
  • Programming experience in Go, Python, or a similar language.
  • Experience with database optimization and network-level troubleshooting.
  • At least 6–8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
