Responsibilities

Build and operate Kubernetes-based compute primitives for production workloads across regions and cloud providers.
Improve commit-to-production delivery pipelines through GitOps and safer, faster deployment patterns.
Define SLOs, build dashboards and alerts, write runbooks, and participate in on-call and incident response.
Create reusable abstractions that enable effective self-service platform capabilities.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving skills and experience delivering pragmatic production solutions.
Experience with distributed systems fundamentals, including networking, service-to-service communication, failure modes, caching, and storage.
Production systems experience through industry roles, internships, or substantial open-source work.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, or GitHub Actions.
Experience with infrastructure management tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and runbook writing.
Functional knowledge of Linux system administration and automation.
Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred: production infrastructure experience on AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, or Azure.
Preferred: exposure to multi-cluster or multi-region architectures and service mesh or zero-trust networking patterns such as Istio mTLS, traffic management, and authorization policies.

Salary: $153k - $207k/yr
