Platform Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable real-time and batch data pipelines and microservices on GCP.
  • Design and implement service-oriented and microservices-based data architectures.
  • Integrate front-end and back-end components to support data access and UI-driven data exploration.
  • Lead data ingestion and integration from multiple sources into the enterprise data platform.
  • Use GCP data services to build and manage cloud data solutions.
  • Implement data governance, access controls, and security best practices, including row- and column-level controls.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and efficiency of data pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, software engineers, and cross-functional teams on engineering standards, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Automate data platform processes to improve reliability and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud technologies and services, preferably GCP.
  • Experience with SonarQube, CI/CD, Tekton, Terraform, Google Cloud Storage, GCP, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong Java or Python programming skills, including Java Spring Boot development.
  • Experience designing and developing APIs and performing front-end development with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and AngularJS.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Ability to design, code, test, and release production features independently.
