Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
Work onsite and potentially work extended hours or weekends depending on launch cadence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline plus 7+ years of professional experience building and scaling software, or 9+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 5 years of full-stack development experience.
Programming experience in Python, C#/.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
Experience building single-page web applications.
Expertise designing software systems and improving application performance.
Experience with version control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, build, deployment, and monitoring.
Experience with build systems, package management tools, UNIX-like operating systems, and system management tools.
Experience with in-stream data processing technologies.
Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Front-end experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework.
Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies.
Applicants must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

Base salary range is $210,000.00-$340,000.00, with actual level and salary determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
