Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance Tarana’s Python-based test automation framework.
  • Create and maintain feature and regression automation test suites across product lines.
  • Own test planning, test case design, execution, reporting, and regression areas for assigned features.
  • Build AI-driven skills and agents for log analysis, failure classification, test summarization, and other repetitive QA workflows.
  • Debug test scripts, identify defects, track them through resolution, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in design reviews and roadmap discussions with Product Management, Development, and Solutions teams.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior QA engineers and review peers’ test plans and code.
  • Communicate test status and quality risks to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of QA automation experience using Python on embedded telecom products, networking products, or microservices/cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI, GenAI, or LLM-based tools to testing workflows, including failure analysis, log or root-cause summarization, or custom AI agents and skills.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and experience with at least one Python test framework such as pytest, unittest, or nose.
  • Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright and API/backend testing using REST, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelines, Git or another version control system, Unix/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
  • Networking fundamentals and protocols including L2/L3/L4, switching, VLAN, TCP/IP, and routing are preferred.
  • Experience with networking test tools such as iPerf, Xena, IXIA, Spirent, or VIAVI JDSU is preferred.
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills, understanding of QA processes, and experience with Jira and Confluence.
