Responsibilities

Partner with quantitative researchers and traders to translate research questions into data, tooling, and compute solutions.
Build, operate, and optimize research and backtesting pipelines and execution frameworks.
Productionize research prototypes with reliable, reproducible, and observable systems.
Own shared foundational datasets and ensure their quality and timeliness.
Profile and optimize performance-critical numerical code while balancing runtime, compute, and storage costs.
Migrate research pipelines to modern data platforms and improve subsequent migration processes.
Build evaluation tooling for assessing model performance.
Collaborate across the data and technology organization to improve shared research infrastructure.

Requirements

Strong production-level Python skills, including NumPy, pandas, vectorization, and profiling.
Working proficiency in C++.
Strong quantitative foundations in statistics, probability, regression, and time series.
Strong software design skills and hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines at scale.
Ability to work directly with quants and traders and turn ambiguous research needs into concrete designs.
Preferred experience in options trading, market making, another trading environment, backtesting, simulation, or research-platform infrastructure.
Preferred hands-on experience with a major cloud provider or HPC managers.
Preferred experience with Apache Iceberg, high-volume market data capture, or C++ template metaprogramming.
