Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain features and fixes for Nium’s core software platforms under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code using Java backend technologies.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and problem solving.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional team members.
  • Follow engineering best practices and contribute to platform quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases and experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Basic familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, and Kafka.
  • Comfort using Git and CI/CD pipelines, with experience in unit testing.
  • Effective technical communication, teamwork, curiosity, and self-motivation.
