Responsibilities

Design and implement production-grade RAG architectures using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search.
Architect and build single- and multi-agent systems with tool integration, memory, and orchestration.
Define evaluation frameworks for RAG and agents covering groundedness, relevance, safety, latency, and cost.
Optimize LLM solutions through prompt optimization, caching, model selection, and appropriate fine-tuning.
Design and build ML models and pipelines for training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
Implement LLMOps/MLOps practices including versioning, observability, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Apply responsible AI practices such as content safety, PII handling, guardrails, access control, and auditability.
Lead technical design discussions, review code and architecture, mentor engineers, and lead small delivery teams.
Engage client stakeholders to understand requirements, estimate effort, and present technical solutions.

Requirements

6–8 years of total experience in software, data, or AI engineering, including 2–3 years delivering generative AI solutions in production.
Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Foundry model deployments, agents, evaluations, tracing, and content safety.
Experience designing and shipping RAG systems at scale with advanced retrieval strategies and evaluation.
Experience building AI agents using tool calling, planning, and multi-agent orchestration with Azure AI Foundry and at least one agent framework.
Strong AI/ML background covering model development, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation, and deployment.
Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and NLP/transformer fundamentals.
Expert-level Python experience and experience building scalable APIs and microservices.
Strong Azure experience including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, Container Apps or AKS, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, API Management, and Application Insights.
Experience with MLOps/LLMOps tooling and CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading small delivery teams.
B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
Azure certifications such as AI-102, DP-100, or AZ-305 are good to have.
Experience with LoRA/PEFT, model distillation, small language models, Model Context Protocol, enterprise tool integrations, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Bicep, or Terraform is preferred.
Strong stakeholder communication, client-facing presentation, problem-solving, mentoring, and team-building skills are preferred.
