Senior AI Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Research and apply AI agents, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and supervised or unsupervised learning to create product capabilities.
  • Architect and integrate agentic chat throughout the Vendelux platform.
  • Establish patterns for agents to interact with internal data, external tools, and user workflows.
  • Build scalable, multi-tenant AI infrastructure meeting performance, latency, and cost requirements.
  • Own observability, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for production AI features.
  • Translate business requirements into AI systems and ship user-facing features with measurable impact.
  • Partner with product, data science, application engineering, and leadership on AI strategy and delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering or data engineering experience, including at least 3 years building AI/ML-driven products.
  • Strong Python programming skills and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with modern AI frameworks such as HuggingFace and LangChain.
  • Experience designing data pipelines with Airflow, Dagster, or an equivalent tool.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Production experience applying LLMs and generative AI, including prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM deployment.
  • Strong foundation in data science and machine learning techniques and the ability to balance research and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into valuable data solutions and ship measurable user-facing features.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across data, engineering, and product teams.
  • Candidates from non-traditional backgrounds are welcome, and not every listed requirement is mandatory.

Salary: $150k - $225k/yr
