Responsibilities

Strategically develop the hybrid AI platform using on-premises GPU resources, internal platform services, Azure, and cloud components.
Evaluate LLMs, RAG architectures, AI agents, frameworks, and platform technologies and translate findings into recommendations and proofs of concept.
Develop technical target architectures, architecture principles, standards, and technology roadmaps while providing technical leadership to teams.
Assess scalability, information security, data protection, performance, cost, dependencies, and operational viability.
Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, network, security, data, and application teams to define integrated solutions and interfaces.
Establish reusable components and standards for AI governance, model deployment, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle management.

Requirements

Several years of experience in a senior, lead, or architecture role.
Strong expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models, RAG, agent-based systems, and modern AI platform architectures.
Experience designing hybrid on-premises and cloud architectures and developing target architectures, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
Ability to assess dependencies across AI platforms, cloud, GPU infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, data, and applications at a strategic level.
Structured ability to evaluate technologies, models, and vendors for quality, value, privacy, security, performance, cost, and long-term viability.
Experience with Microsoft Azure AI, Azure AI Foundry, or Azure OpenAI is a plus.
Very good German and English skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse audiences.
