Senior Application Security Engineer - Containers in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Drive container security operations and supply chain risk initiatives across business units.
  • Integrate and support container security scanning in DevOps pipelines using a shift-left approach.
  • Manage supply chain vulnerabilities, image provenance, adversarial container security, and governance, risk, and compliance activities.
  • Develop solutions for Container Security Bills of Materials and Vulnerability Exchange.
  • Customize security policies, rules, and alerts for container security.
  • Train development teams on secure container practices and promote secure container development through governance and metrics.
  • Identify KPIs and KRIs and provide weekly scanning and monitoring reports.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles, including three or more years in software engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of container security vulnerabilities, OWASP, container image formats, and related risks.
  • Experience implementing and rolling out container scanning solutions in container development environments.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies, secure web development, microservices architecture, and design patterns.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, container security, application security, and test automation tools.
  • Experience training development teams on secure container practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred software engineering or architecture experience with Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CSSLP, GCIA, GPEN, or GWAPT are preferred but not required.
