Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain new and existing Space Vehicle flight software.
Use C++ and object-oriented design principles to develop software in an embedded Linux environment.
Ensure software integrates with the larger system baseline, including interfaces and network communications.
Plan, estimate, and decompose assigned software engineering work.
Use existing DevOps tools, repositories, development processes, and collaboration workflows.
Develop test plans and test procedures for peer review.
Execute test procedures in coordination with Software Quality or other approved test oversight processes.
Communicate status, accomplishments, and impediments in daily stand-up meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of prior related experience, or a graduate degree with zero to two years of related experience, or six years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
At least two years of software development experience using C or C++.
Experience with object-oriented design and implementation.
Experience with or familiarity with embedded Linux development.
Experience with modern development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and version control systems such as Git.
Experience with network communications and software interface development.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies is preferred.
Familiarity with Python for testing, automation, and tooling is preferred.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Linux shell commands, debugging tools, requirements analysis, software verification, and validation is preferred.
Experience using AI-assisted tools for code development, code analysis, and software testing is preferred.
