Senior Backend Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for tracing, monitoring, and evaluation workflows.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions focused on performance and maintainability.
  • Optimize storage and query performance for high-volume observability and evaluation data.
  • Improve system reliability through testing, monitoring, and alerting practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design and API references.
  • Collaborate with full-stack engineers, product managers, and product designers on new features.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience working on highly complex products.
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages or frameworks, ideally Python and/or Go.
  • Strong understanding of API design and reliable data services.
  • Experience with high-throughput, mission-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize backend services for performance and reliability.
  • Experience with Postgres, Redis, and ClickHouse is beneficial.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, customer centricity, and ownership mentality.
