Responsibilities

Design, build, maintain, and evolve a scalable Design System and reusable component library.
Develop accessible, responsive, high-quality, and reusable UI components.
Define and enforce Design System standards, guidelines, best practices, and governance processes.
Translate design tokens, patterns, and specifications into production-ready code.
Drive Design System adoption across multiple teams and business units.
Collaborate with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams.
Monitor system performance, scalability, usability, accessibility compliance, and user experience improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for front-end architecture decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in Front-End Engineering, UI Engineering, or Design System development.
Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.
Hands-on experience with React and component-based architecture.
Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale Design Systems.
Strong understanding of Design Tokens, Atomic Design, and Component Libraries.
Experience with Storybook, Figma, and design-to-development workflows.
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
Preferred experience with Design System governance and adoption strategies, micro-frontends, cross-platform integration, enterprise or product-based environments, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
Nice-to-have experience with Angular, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, enterprise digital transformation initiatives, or open-source Design Systems and component libraries.
