Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain reliable server-side platform components and developer tools for other developers.
  • Write Rust and Go code with a focus on reliability, quality, and durability.
  • Contribute to feature design, development, and release.
  • Document technical solutions and new designs.
  • Review code submissions and design documents and provide timely feedback.
  • Uphold and improve team processes.
  • Mentor and coach teammates.
  • Work on platform services spanning public key verification, identity, and confidential computing.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience in a production SaaS environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience shipping production Rust code.
  • Experience writing idiomatic asynchronous Rust in the Tokio and Tower ecosystems.
  • Experience with Go, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes, databases, and other cloud technologies.
  • Solid understanding of HTTP, TCP, vsock, and service meshes.
  • Ability to carry projects forward autonomously and collaborate clearly across teams.
  • Interest in security, privacy, and cryptography, with a thoughtful approach to quality, detail, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Benefits

  • US-based roles offer an annual base salary of $153,000 USD to $214,000 USD, while Canada-based roles offer $144,000 CAD to $202,000 CAD; compensation figures vary by location.
