Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SmartCOMM templates, data models, Assembly Rules, and scripting solutions.
  • Design and optimize document-generation solutions using XML, XPath, and SmartCOMM Designer.
  • Apply reusable template design, performance optimization, and maintainable coding practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, support defect resolution, and implement preventative measures.
  • Monitor and optimize template performance for efficient document generation at scale.
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for templates, configurations, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and quality assurance teams to align solutions with business and technical requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional development experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on SmartCOMM development and implementation experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of XML, XPath, and SmartCOMM Designer.
  • Strong understanding of SmartCOMM development best practices, reusable template design, performance optimization, and maintainable coding standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Graduate-level education or above.
  • Insurance-domain knowledge, particularly policy documents and related processes, is highly desirable.
