Senior DevOps Engineer in Remote

Responsibilities

  • Own the cloud platform across Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare, and Vercel, including provisioning, upgrades, capacity, resource lifecycle, rightsizing, and cleanup.
  • Run and scale Kubernetes clusters, including control-plane and node-pool upgrades, autoscaling, Spot capacity, networking, security, stateful workloads, packaging, and delivery.
  • Operate validator, sentry, seed, RPC, and archive blockchain nodes, including peering, snapshots, synchronization, client upgrades, and rolling fleet upgrades.
  • Design and operate networking and edge infrastructure, including VPCs, load balancers, DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Tunnels, WAF, firewalls, and cost-conscious internet egress.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD systems using Terraform or Pulumi and Jenkins or equivalent platforms.
  • Operate observability and on-call processes covering metrics, logs, alerts, dashboards, incident response, and postmortems.
  • Manage least-privilege IAM, secrets, protected access, production credentials, and prevention of publicly exposed databases or administrative ports.
  • Manage cloud costs through billing exports, budgets, alerts, tagging, cost reviews, rightsizing, cleanup, and commitment planning.
  • Enable developers through templates, preview environments, documentation, and platform support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform roles, including 3+ years running production Kubernetes and owning CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep production Kubernetes experience covering upgrades, scheduling, autoscaling, networking, RBAC, Pod Security, workload identity, secrets, stateful workloads, Helm or Kustomize, GitOps, and troubleshooting.
  • Production experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Tekton, including container builds, artifact management, deployment strategies, infrastructure pipelines, security, and delivery metrics.
  • Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR, routing, NAT, load balancing, DNS, TLS, certificates, firewalls, security groups, private connectivity, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Production experience on at least two of Google Cloud, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud, with willingness to learn the third quickly.
  • Production experience with Terraform or Pulumi and scripting in Bash plus Python or Go.
  • Demonstrated experience reducing cloud costs through rightsizing, cleanup, or commitments.
  • Security-first handling of production credentials and clear written communication.
  • Preferred experience includes production blockchain nodes, Cloudflare Workers and Tunnels, Alibaba Cloud international operations, Intel TDX, GPU workloads, CKA or CKS certification, FinOps certification, CI-system migrations, and Go or Rust.
