Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Own technical delivery across discovery, architecture, implementation, production deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Embed with client engineering and business teams to translate business problems into defensible technical architectures.
  • Build production full-stack applications and agentic AI systems, including LLM-backed workflows, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and financial-services integrations.
  • Design APIs and integration surfaces for legacy, poorly documented, and load-bearing platforms.
  • Harden prototypes for regulated production environments through security reviews, audit trails, PII handling, and performance testing.
  • Scope client requests, recommend when to reduce or change scope, and communicate those decisions to stakeholders.
  • Guide client engineers and leave documented, runnable, and maintainable software behind.
  • Own difficult production issues in client infrastructure and proactively identify risks.
  • Create implementation plans, sequence work, and delegate to internal and client-side engineers without direct people-management responsibility.
  • Travel to client sites 20–30% of the time.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience shipping production full-stack software.
  • Strong Python experience, with .NET or Node.js accepted as substitutes.
  • React or Next.js front-end experience.
  • Experience leading the technical side of a delivery, including owning implementation plans and directing engineers without managing them.
  • Experience with API design and systems integration, including legacy or poorly documented systems.
  • Real client-facing delivery experience, including discovery sessions, difficult stakeholders, and independent account delivery.
  • Production experience with LLMs and agents, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, communicate with both engineers and executives, and make appropriate scope decisions.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites 20–30% of the time.
