Responsibilities

Architect and develop web and mobile applications for Alpaca’s trading products.
Create responsive, performant, intuitive, accessible, and polished user interfaces.
Develop frontend trading dashboards and backend systems supporting Trading API features.
Own high-visibility features and projects from design through deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, users, and internal stakeholders on end-to-end solutions.
Mentor peers and influence frontend technical strategy and best practices.

Requirements

5+ years of frontend development experience with TypeScript and React.
3+ years of mobile application development experience for Android and iOS.
2+ years of experience with a modern systems programming language such as Golang, C++, or Rust.
Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks such as TailwindCSS.
Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, relational databases, and SQL.
Ability to translate product designs and mockups into complete user interfaces.
Track record of setting or influencing frontend best practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and appreciation for design aesthetics.
Preferred: professional or personal algorithmic trading experience, financial markets knowledge, major cloud platform experience, startup experience, or remote-work experience.
