Responsibilities

Build and own features across new and existing DuckDuckGo products using React and TypeScript.
Develop scalable, performant, pragmatic, and testable user interfaces across settings, devices, and browsers.
Lead and contribute to frontend projects while maintaining and improving major components of the codebase.
Improve frontend software architecture while prioritizing privacy and user experience.
Collaborate with backend, Android, iOS, product, and design teams on polished consumer-facing products.
Identify success criteria and metrics and validate product and engineering decisions against them.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in roles where writing code was the primary responsibility.
Advanced JavaScript, HTML, and CSS expertise.
Advanced React and TypeScript expertise.
Advanced web application architecture expertise.
Ability to lead engineering projects with little to no oversight.
Experience building large-scale web applications.
Experience contributing to technical architecture decisions for complex products.
Willingness to learn new technologies and ideas.

Expected full-time commitment averages 40 hours per week.
Travel is expected at least twice yearly for an all-hands meetup and team retreat, each approximately 4–5 days.

Salary: $179k - $179k/yr
