Senior Fullstack Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of customer-facing features from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, monitoring, and follow-up.
  • Develop across the TypeScript and Node.js serverless backend and React Native application.
  • Make architectural decisions about service boundaries, data ownership, refactoring, and extending existing systems.
  • Instrument shipped features and maintain product stability and reliability during rapid releases.
  • Use Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code throughout development while maintaining responsibility for correctness, testing, and quality.
  • Mentor engineers through technical design, code review, and cross-stack collaboration.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience shipping customer-facing products end to end with meaningful technical and architectural ownership.
  • An AI-native development approach using tools such as Claude Code and Cursor for planning, implementation, debugging, testing, and review.
  • Expert-level TypeScript and fluency with Node.js, React or React Native, REST, and GraphQL.
  • Real AWS serverless experience with Lambda and SQS, or equivalent event-driven systems.
  • Experience refactoring or modernizing existing systems rather than working only on greenfield projects.
  • Experience with pragmatic testing using Jest, RNTL, and Detox.
  • Strong product judgment and clear, even-keeled communication.
  • Preferred experience includes financial products, payment systems, regulated software, Pulumi or Terraform, and mobile releases through TestFlight, Google Play, or over-the-air updates.
