Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Network Infrastru in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide network changes, including service mesh upgrades and gateway migrations, using staged rollouts and rollback plans.
  • Modernize and simplify Plaid’s cloud network to reduce operational risk.
  • Build self-service tools in Go and Terraform for exposing, routing, and securing services.
  • Strengthen network security and compliance boundaries.
  • Debug complex network issues and improve alerts, dashboards, and guardrails.
  • Participate in on-call, lead network incident response, and drive follow-up fixes.

Requirements

  • Experience running production infrastructure at scale in infrastructure, SRE, or network engineering.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, and load balancing.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking, such as a CNI, service mesh, or ingress.
  • Experience with cloud networking, ideally on AWS.
  • Ability to write code in Go or Python.
  • Track record of making large production changes safely with rollback plans.
  • Preferred: production experience with Istio, Envoy, or Cilium.
