Responsibilities

Design and build backend services and distributed systems for logistics orchestration and shipment risk analysis.
Own partner data flows from multi-vendor and IoT data integration and normalization through warehousing, monitoring, and operational support.
Develop event-driven services and predictive workflows for shipment risk assessment, on-time and in-full performance, and exception handling.
Build and maintain partner-facing APIs, webhooks, queues, and external integrations.
Improve service reliability and scalability through testing, deployment, monitoring, and observability.
Provide production ownership, including on-call support and security considerations.

Requirements

At least 5 years of backend engineering experience building scalable, distributed production systems; roughly 6 to 10 years is preferred.
Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js, SQL, relational data modeling, NoSQL databases, and ETL pipelines.
Experience with IoT data ingestion and contextualization, partner APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, REST or gRPC APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor with strong production ownership.
Logistics, supply chain, cold-chain, or regulated healthcare experience is a plus.

Benefits

Base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 annually, plus equity and a cash bonus.
Visa sponsorship is available.
Remote within the United States.
