Senior iOS Engineer - Golf in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop native iOS software in Swift for new Garmin Golf products and applications.
  • Provide individual-contributor technical leadership for complex software projects, including architecture and module reviews.
  • Decompose functional requirements into tasks and implement appropriate algorithmic solutions.
  • Provide peer technical assessments, project planning input, and feasibility, scheduling, and risk guidance.
  • Mentor Software Engineers 1 and 2 and contribute to technical research, process improvements, and procedures.
  • Support rotating on-call coverage for Garmin’s 24/7 operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field and at least five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mastered proficiency writing iOS software with Swift, with relevant data structures or object-oriented design experience or training.
  • Demonstrated ability to design well-architected software systems, research fundamental problems, implement algorithms, and lead complex software projects.
  • Ability to decompose requirements, provide technical assessments, and balance quality, quantity, and complexity.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with organization, problem solving, prioritization, and leadership abilities.
  • Outstanding academics with a GPA of at least 3.5 and an interest or passion for golf are preferred.
