Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain a production consumer-facing Android application.
Build and improve platform-level architecture supporting core app features.
Solve engineering problems while balancing speed and quality.
Contribute to product design and direction decisions with cross-functional teammates.
Communicate across engineering, product, and business teams.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including at least 2 years shipping production Android apps professionally.
At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
Strong Kotlin expertise with hands-on Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture experience.
Experience with protobufs, REST, and gRPC.
Experience integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications.
Proficiency with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing strategies.
Experience maintaining mobile app CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership experience.
Strong academic background in computer science or a related field.
Platform-level Android development and architecture experience is a plus.

Benefits

Annual salary of $160,000 to $200,000.
Visa sponsorship is available.
On-site work in San Francisco, California.
