Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical design and end-to-end implementation of granular and bulk identity recovery features.
  • Design and build scalable components for real-time deletion capture and data restoration.
  • Implement relationship restoration and state consistency for group memberships, app assignments, device enrollments, and other identity objects.
  • Implement secure logging and tracking of recovery operations in Syslog for audit and compliance.
  • Partner with Product Managers and technical leads to define requirements, scope, and milestones.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve observability, logging, and metrics.
  • Conduct code reviews, automated testing, and technical documentation while mentoring junior and intermediate engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling reliable production applications.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills with extensive Java and Spring Boot experience.
  • Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous job processing, and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL and caching systems such as Redis.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining enterprise RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to independently break down ambiguous requirements into scalable software designs.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience with IAM standards including SCIM, SAML, OAuth, and OIDC, or directory services such as AD and LDAP.
  • Preferred experience with retry strategies, circuit breakers, rate limiting, feature flagging, gradual or canary deployments, queueing systems, or message brokers such as Kafka.
