Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve backend services supporting the trading lifecycle from order intake and validation through execution, status updates, and post-trade processing.
Build integrations with internal platforms and external trading venues for robust processing of time-sensitive financial data.
Contribute across the full service lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Design and operate reliable, scalable, observable, high-availability services and APIs in a distributed, event-driven environment.
Improve reliability, automation, observability, developer experience, and operational processes while maintaining correctness, performance, security, and auditability.
Collaborate with product, operations, risk, and engineering stakeholders to model complex trading workflows.

Requirements

University degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Strong professional experience building production backend services with Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven, high-availability systems with clear API and service boundaries.
Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design and complex business workflow modeling.
Experience with latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems, including performance analysis, monitoring, capacity planning, and failure-mode design.
Experience designing, operating, and optimizing persistence for backend services using relational and NoSQL databases.
Strong focus on clean, secure, testable, documented, and maintainable production code and service ownership.
Familiarity with cloud-native development and operations, ideally including AWS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tooling.
Strong analytical and communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
Experience with financial-market systems requiring strict operational controls and auditability is a strong plus.
