Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Define architecture for complex deliverables and maintain algorithms that integrate with appropriate systems.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, process large datasets, and create visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement.
  • Configure and optimize Spark clusters and deploy machine learning models using Databricks.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, validation standards, automation reuse, and software development lifecycle improvements.
  • Lead AI/ML delivery and software engineering best practices across teams.
  • Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene, system architecture, and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • Formal software engineering training or certification with 5+ years of applied experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technologists in managing and solving complex technical work.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, machine learning modeling, data pipelines, and big data engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills for validating features and data quality at scale.
  • Experience configuring and optimizing Spark clusters and working with AWS services including EMR, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks for data pipelines and machine learning model deployment.
  • Preferred: expertise with Java and Python, AWS and Databricks, high-volume Spring Boot APIs, Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy, AWS certification, Apache Airflow, and modern LLM techniques.
