Responsibilities

Design and maintain highly available, low-latency ML inference infrastructure for predictive models and LLMs.
Build and optimize streaming pipelines that provide fresh feature data to production ML models.
Improve distributed training infrastructure for processing large data volumes efficiently.
Develop observability tooling for monitoring data quality and detecting model-performance degradation.
Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews, and design reviews.

Requirements

At least 5 years of industry experience as a software engineer.
Demonstrated ownership of distributed systems in production environments.
Experience building and operating low-latency data or ML infrastructure, such as streaming pipelines, online serving systems, or distributed training.
Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, and technical leadership.
Familiarity with feature stores, model serving frameworks, and training orchestration sufficient to partner with ML engineers.
Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Benefits

Remote-first, but not remote-only work arrangement, with quarterly in-person working sessions called surges.

Annual base salary varies by location and is listed separately in the posting.

Salary: $191k - $225k/yr
