Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a scalable infrastructure-as-code platform runtime across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
Architect resilient infrastructure for cross-cutting platform concerns such as service discovery and routing.
Identify performance bottlenecks and improve platform resiliency, scalability, and cost.
Use DataDog and Prometheus to design SLIs and enforce platform SLOs.
Design secure-by-default infrastructure and coordinate with security teams on compliance.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and align teams around technical strategies.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical leadership.
Lead incident response, drive root-cause analyses, and implement preventative measures.
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.

Requirements

5–8 years of software development experience.
Deep expertise in Golang, Terraform, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.
Experience architecting distributed systems and making complex technical tradeoffs.
Strong operational experience with incident response, root-cause analyses, and preventative measures.
Experience experimenting with AI models and evaluating different effort levels and contexts.
Advanced Kubernetes experience, including autoscaling, KEDA, or KNative, is preferred.
Performance or load-testing expertise is preferred.
Experience with Redis, Kafka, and/or PostgreSQL at scale is preferred.
Experience building with agentic AI is preferred.
Ability to work effectively on a fully distributed remote team.

Annual base salary range of $136,000–$187,000 CAD for candidates located in Canada.
