Senior Product Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve streaming chat surfaces and agent workspaces, including persistence, tool-call and approval experiences, and citation rendering.
  • Partner with the platform team on the app builder, generated toolchain, preview sandbox, and generation/repair-loop user experience.
  • Maintain shared components and the design system across chat, workspaces, and the app builder.
  • Build agent-facing developer experience including the CLI, deployment tooling, and manifests.
  • Own the full stack of features across TypeScript, Node/FastAPI, Postgres, deployment, observability, and on-call.
  • Implement enterprise readiness through accessibility, localization, and audit trails.
  • Debug across product, backend, and platform boundaries using service traces and Kubernetes logs.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of deep, production experience with React and TypeScript, including streaming UIs, high-frequency updates, virtualization, state management, and hands-on React 19 knowledge.
  • End-to-end experience with SSE or WebSocket streaming, including chunk boundaries, reconnection, abort propagation, and raw byte-stream debugging.
  • Experience shipping backend services for personal front ends using Node/Fastify or Python/FastAPI, including authentication, idempotency, pagination, race conditions, and migrations.
  • Product and enterprise experience with defensible accessibility, thoughtful empty and error states, and localization beyond a strings file.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools with examples of overriding tool output and a specification-driven development approach.
  • Experience with instrumentation, evaluations of AI-dependent behavior, cost awareness, and on-call ownership.
  • Practical depth with TypeScript, React 19, TanStack Query, Vite, Node/Fastify or Python/FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, and SSE/WebSocket streaming.
  • Familiarity with Zod-validated wire contracts, sandboxed iframes, CSP, postMessage, Playwright, Vitest, WCAG 2.2 AA, i18n frameworks, and OIDC/OAuth2 session mechanics.
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $140k - $225k/yr
